As a mother of two, I know more than anything what it’s like to have your heart in two places at once. One piece is always with your children, while another is with the creative work that lights you up.
From the moment I found out I was expecting my daughter, I felt like I would want to be at home with her. By the time my maternity leave was over, it was official: I was trading my career in human resources for full-time motherhood.
it's so lovely to meet you.
If we were having coffee together right now (and I wish we were!) you’d probably be saying, “Me too!” .
And so, I’d share something else with you. Something I think we should all talk about more often. While building a business and raising my children, I’ve often wondered: Can I really do both? Can I truly be present with my children and help support my family at the same time?
Sweet friend, if you’ve ever asked yourself these questions too, the answer is absolutely yes.
It won’t always be perfect. (I’m typing this with toys scattered at my feet, dishes piled high in the sink, and fingers crossed my little ones nap at the same time today!).
But, Mama, you truly have the ability to do anything.
Being at home for my children is the biggest blessing I have been given in this life. The desire to be a creative business owner is a very close second.
Finding the time to be at my sketchbook started out slowly. Drawing during naptime. Scheduling client calls when daddy was home. Waking up early to finish projects in the quiet, peaceful hours of the morning...
Before I knew it, I was a stay-at-home mama and running a creative business at the same time. Because I can’t imagine my life without one or the other.
This design studio was made for you. And for bringing your dream of building a thriving business around your sweet family to life.
I'm so glad you're here.
